Tessa's birthday party

Tessa chose to have a princess tea party.  Her friends Charlotte, Emma, Amelia and Cora came to celebrate!  They kissed the frog (blindfolded with lipstick), bent and jumped with limbo, made sugarcube castles, and colored tea cups.

Our silly Elves

The Elves found us in Germany and continue to be the highlight of our December.  They bring magic and joy into our home.  The kids are careful to not touch them to not diminish any magic.

Getting ready for Christmas

Sam wrote Luke a book for Christmas and was so excited to give it to him, he couldn't wait until Christmas.  He had been working on it for over a month.  After writing a new chapter, he would bring it home and sneakingly show me.

The boys wanted to sleep by the Christmas tree and we agreed.  I have great memories sleeping by the tree all lit up.  Well, the boys barely lasted an hour before they were scared and climbed in their own beds.  Maybe next year.

Kindergarten Christmas Program

We love our German Kindergarten.  It has been an excellent way for us to learn more about German traditions and culture.  We got to attend their Christmas program and sang their traditional Christmas songs.  Luke performed with his "Rock Star" group and then all the kids rang bells, danced, and sang Jingle Bells.

Tessa's dance recital

Tessa has been taking ballet and tap this semester.  She loved performing to the Nutcracker song at the Christmas performance.  She also didn't mind putting on a little blush, lipstick, and mascara.
She was our little star.
