MARCH 2023

We went on a hike with Becky, Alex, Blake and Jesse
at Government Canyon.

While we were hiking, Ryan and Tessa were off to Provo for
 Elisabeth and Landon's wedding.

Ryan says that Tessa was in absolute heaven and loved every minute.
It looked like the most beautiful wedding.

Tessa also loved being in snow and so they went tubing the next day.
Unfortunately, Jenny fell off and hit her head and had a terrible TBI
and went to the ED.
Ryan brought the kids home some BYU hats from Grandpa.

At Del Rio, there are horses that I like to visit and feed some hay.

For our 16th anniversary/birthday, we went to Hopscotch.

For spring break, we went camping with the Hans
in Laredo.  They are camping pros and we had a great time.

It is Laurel and Natalie's birthdays too.  We went biking on the riverwalk.

Liza Jay growing up

So, while mom and dad were helping Kazie with the babe, mom got the flu.
It turned into pneumonia and even with antibiotics, she was admitted into the hospital.
It was terrible timing because it was the exact same time that Bran and Claire went to France as they were in charge of a study abroad.  As soon as I found out that it wasn't going to be a quick turnaround, I flew out to Panama City, rented a car and sneaked into the house at 2 a.m.  Sage turned 8 and we celebrated in the hospital with games and cake.  Right after I left, Mom was transferred to Tallahassee for an empyema.  She had a thoracotomy and chest tube placements.  We discovered that she had MRSA. While in Tallahassee, dad was driving the girls to church and was hit by another car that ran a stoplight.  The airbags deployed and Sage broke her nose.  Luckily Bran and Claire were coming back the next day so dad could spend all of his time in Tallahassee with mom.
It was quite a trying time.

While I was gone, Luke won first place at UIL number sense compitition.

Nutmeg was placed in her crate before Ryan and the kids were headed out.
She bit a hole in the top and could only get her top half through.
If Ryan hadn't forgotten something and come back in the house she would have
hung like that for hours.

Capture the flag, AD boys and girls and decons

The kids had to leave the house at 4:30 am to fly out to DC for work.
I was getting back from Georgia at 1 p.m.  The kids had to wake
themselves up and get on the bus for school.
Ryan texted me pictures like a scavenger hunt on how to find the car.

That evening, we drove up to Fort Worth to visit Kari.

We looked at a couple of houses as she is in the market to buy.
We also went to a neighborhood carnival and to her church.

Dentist appointment and Tessa getting her art displayed at an event.

Ryan enjoyed his time in DC.  He was able to see Dan Oakes and fam and eat at a lot of yummy restaurants.  I was jealous of the cherry blossoms.  He also took his coworkers to the
African American National Museum.

Ryan got home just in time to celebrate his birthday.
