Ryan's trips to the States

Ryan got to go to the US twice in May.  He went to San Antonio for a conference and then D.C. for a prestigious award.  He won a recognition award for his green belt project saving the army hundreds of thousands of dollars and making primary care more efficient.  Ryan really appreciated getting to eat yummy food, getting to site see, and reconnecting with friends and family.

May 2019 Out and about

Tessa's school and cubby

Biking with Luke in the Rape seed fields

Luke discovered this bench.  Now we always stop at this bench and it is forever known as Lukey's bench.

Every spring, the Kindergarten asks for the parents to help
clean, weed, and mulch the yard.  We also painted the fence.

Art Appreciation day, Sam's grade sang a few songs.  He is near his buddies Mathew and Allen.

Claire painting

Claire is an amazing artist.  We went up to Lukey's bench and she did water color of the land.  She also did Copenhagen for us.  I want to commission her to do tons more.  What talent!

Nuremburg

I love Ryan's reflection in this picture.

We went to church and met a Congolese who knows French, Lingala, English and now is working on German.  Many people in the branch needed translators and there were 2 microphones at the pulpit.  It just takes twice as long to bear your testimony or give a talk.
We walked from church to the city center and had a picnic at the top of the stairs next to the castle.

Becky really brings so much joy to everyone around her.

Ever since Nick has been deployed, Alexander has really taken to Ryan.  My theory is that he is tall and blond and so Alex thinks that Ryan must be his dad or is close enough.

PlayMobile Land

Becky and I watched the 7 kiddos while Bran, Claire and Ryan went to the Documentation Center and Nazi Party Rally Grounds.   It was a little hairy herding the kids and keeping track of them all.  At one point Emry took off and hid behind a castle door.  Luckily, I was right behind her and found her hiding spot.  Becky saved the day when Sage refused to eat her chicken nuggets.  Becky fed her bite by bite and prevented me from losing my mind.  But we all had a great time.
