Venice

Venice started off with a scare.  Ryanair cancelled our flight with less than 24 hours notice.  We scrambled, changed our dates and flew out of Hahn instead.  Venice is like walking on the set of a movie.  The canals, colorful buildings, and boats are so picturesque.  Tessa ate gelato for breakfast, lunch and dinner and wanted MORE for day 2.  They loved chasing and feeding the pigeons at St. Marcos Square.  We got freshly made pasta to go and made our own Magnum bars.  On day two, we went to a cemetery where Ezra Pound was buried and then to Murano for the day.  The kids loved traveling in the boats and playing at the playground near our hotel.

When I was 26 (14 years ago), I came here for the 2nd time with Branagan.  I bought my future husband a gondola tie.  3 years later I married Ryan and gave him that Gondola tie.  Then on our 11th anniversary, we enjoyed Venice and walked by that gondola tie with our 3 kids.
