July 2022

The kids get along sometimes!!

We started our trip out to Utah with a stop to visit Jessica in Ruidoso.
We drove to Capitan, NM which is the home of Smokey the Bear.  We visited his historical park and saw the town's 4th of July parade.

We enjoyed Blake's green hatch chili!

Next stop: Franceen's
She took us around to the Indian mound next door with ancient pottery and we found a lot!

We were then headed to the Ranch for a lunch with the aunts and uncles.
Here we are in front of Mom and Dad's 40 acres.

Luke showed Ruth what was left of the blanket "bobby" that she made for him.
He has loved it too much.

Ed, Farren, Dad and the goats (Hello Kitty)

I love these people

I cried when we drove away because I feel so lucky to be related to them.

We made it just in time for the 4th of July and the pancake breakfast and parade with Grandma and Grandpa.

We went to Scheels.

We were very excited to see the Ferneliuses.  We started at a trampoline park.

And then waited for Colby to get home for work and ate pizza and then went for a walk.  Sam was sick and throwing up.  I wonder if it was a bug vs altitude sickness.

Ryan got to catch up quickly with Monica.  It is cool to meet up with friends from all over while in Utah as we all seem to migrate here in the summer.

I caught up with Steph and her girls, Miri and Elsie.

And then had amazing quality time with Deenie.

More fun with Grandma

Sam went to the temple with Benjo.

Then we headed for an evening with Hubble and fam.

The next day we headed to Thanksgiving Point.

Emily is so talented with many things including making sea life out of bread and Tessa's hair.

Hiking through Timpanogos cave.

We got to catch up with some friends from LA.
Sarah/Tom, Jeff, Bethany/Dan

We went to BYU to visit with Caleb and Tucker.
They are so accomplished and were so cute with the kids.

It was really fun to walk around campus with Dad.

We then went to the art museum.

I really wanted to hike to Donut Falls.  We loved it.  It was such a fun hike.

We went to the Church History museum
and met up with the Walkes.  Sam loved Lily when she was only a baby and she loved him.
I don't think she remembered him but it was so nice to catch up with them.

And then we got to see the Harshbargers!!!
Oh- we love them so much.  They really are family.

of course plus plus with Adeline

Swimming at Rachael's family pool.
She and Ned had their reception here.
We went to Thanksgiving Point, Wendy's house, splash pads, and an arcade.

We were so lucky to spend some time with Alex before his mission.

And Ryan got to meet up with Nate for a bit.

I got to see Logan and her kiddos.

Love that Torrey house.

Driving home- one more stop at Blake's
We sent pictures to Luke's friend, Blake.

We stayed with Jessica again and then made a stop in Roswell.
It was quirky and they owned it.

And when we got home, we got to meet Emily Anne
