July 2022

The kids get along sometimes!!

We started our trip out to Utah with a stop to visit Jessica in Ruidoso.
We drove to Capitan, NM which is the home of Smokey the Bear.  We visited his historical park and saw the town's 4th of July parade.

We enjoyed Blake's green hatch chili!

Next stop: Franceen's
She took us around to the Indian mound next door with ancient pottery and we found a lot!

We were then headed to the Ranch for a lunch with the aunts and uncles.
Here we are in front of Mom and Dad's 40 acres.

Luke showed Ruth what was left of the blanket "bobby" that she made for him.
He has loved it too much.

I love these people

I cried when we drove away because I feel so lucky to be related to them.

We made it just in time for the 4th of July and the pancake breakfast and parade with Grandma and Grandpa.

We went to Scheels.

We were very excited to see the Ferneliuses.  We started at a trampoline park.

And then waited for Colby to get home for work and ate pizza and then went for a walk.  Sam was sick and throwing up.  I wonder if it was a bug vs altitude sickness.

Ryan got to catch up quickly with Monica.  It is cool to meet up with friends from all over while in Utah as we all seem to migrate here in the summer.

I caught up with Steph and her girls, Miri and Elsie.

And then had amazing quality time with Deenie.

More fun with Grandma

Sam went to the temple with Benjo.

Then we headed for an evening with Hubble and fam.

The next day we headed to Thanksgiving Point.

Emily is so talented with many things including making sea life out of bread and Tessa's hair.

Hiking through Timpanogos cave.

We got to catch up with some friends from LA.
Sarah/Tom, Jeff, Bethany/Dan

We went to BYU to visit with Caleb and Tucker.
They are so accomplished and were so cute with the kids.

It was really fun to walk around campus with Dad.

We then went to the art museum.

I really wanted to hike to Donut Falls.  We loved it.  It was such a fun hike.

We went to the Church History museum
and met up with the Walkes.  Sam loved Lily when she was only a baby and she loved him.
I don't think she remembered him but it was so nice to catch up with them.

And then we got to see the Harshbargers!!!
Oh- we love them so much.  They really are family.

of course plus plus with Adeline

Swimming at Rachael's family pool.
She and Ned had their reception here.
We went to Thanksgiving Point, Wendy's house, splash pads, and an arcade.

We were so lucky to spend some time with Alex before his mission.

And Ryan got to meet up with Nate for a bit.

I got to see Logan and her kiddos.

Love that Torrey house.

Driving home- one more stop at Blake's
We sent pictures to Luke's friend, Blake.

We stayed with Jessica again and then made a stop in Roswell.
It was quirky and they owned it.

And when we got home, we got to meet Emily Anne

June 2022

Sleepy boy.  This is rare as Luke has a difficult time napping.

Young Men's Camp
Ryan said that he hated heat, the beach and 12 year old boys and now
he has to spend 4 days with all of that.

They camped at the beach.  Luckily the adults slept in an
air conditioning camper.  They had a blast going to a baseball game,
fishing, kayaking, touring a battleship, and playing in the water.

I planned an "Art Camp" swap with Charin and her friend.
We would do it every Monday.

We went to visit the Baileys in Fort Worth while Ryan and Sam were at the beach.
  We went to a waterpark!

We had to leave early to get back to SA to see
Steph and Audrey Chapman.

We went to SA weirdest Aquarium.
It was a little ghetto and in an old auto dealership building.
It was with our POGO pass but I would have been
sad if we paid for it.
More Art Camp

For Sam's birthday, we went to Austin to a fun place to play on a
obstacle course, swing on our 2 tower swing, blob your friends, slide down one of our two 85 foot slides, paddle the lake, or wake board on a beginner cable.
Becky and kids, Tyrus, Pierre, Thomas, and Gabe came.

Ryan got to go to a mission reunion in Las Vegas

May 2022

We went outside and saw a lunar eclipse or blood moon.  These pictures don't really capture it.

Ryan and I went down to the Riverwalk during the day.
We love that he has parking across from the Alamo.

school program.  Tessa is in pink on the 3rd row,
4 from the left
Sam got "Most improved" award
which was obvious because he literally went from
last chair to first chair in one semester!!!

Last Day of School
Tessa cried saying goodbye to Ms. Johnson, the nicest
bus driver ever.  She really loves school.

I went to help with the last day of school party.
