Brijuni Island, Croatia

We drove 5 hours that night into Rovinj Croatia.  We didn't know we needed a vignette (driving voucher) for Slovenia and if caught we would have had a 300 euro fine.  Whew, we were lucky.
We rolled into our little mobile home at a campsite at midnight.
We drove to Fazana and waited for a ferry to the Brijuni Island.

Olive Tree

We got to the island and rented a golf cart to drive around.
Golf carts always remind me of April because her family
always had one that we would spend hours
driving around her yard.

The island has a zoo!

And Dinosaur footprints

On 4 of the islands, over 200 dinosaur footprints have been discovered, which can be traced to the Cretaceous Period.

There is the 13th century AD St. Mary's Church
which was built by the Knights Templar.

Roman Ruins

There are also two ancient Romanvilla remains, from the 2nd Century BC and
remains of a Byzantine palace.

The boys making their own cairns.

Tessa full on passed out at the end.
