Toledo Spain

The day started off like this.... (my email to Mom and Dad)
Yesterday I woke up abruptly by someone knocking.  But it was Tessa.  She locked herself in the bathroom and couldn’t get out.  She couldn’t turn it to unlock and we couldn’t do anything from the outside.  We tried for an hour with scissors and knives.  Ryan took the door knob off unscrewing it with a knife but it was still locked and the door hinges were on the inside.  Tessa would cry every once and a while but mostly stayed calm.  Luke, Sam and I said a prayer that we could get her out.  Finally, I went to the neighbor and asked to borrow some tools.  She directed us to the super on the ground floor.  He came and helped us!  He got her out with his tools.  We have kept doorknob off and bathroom door open at all times for the remainder of our stay;).

From Ryan's fb:
On Day 2 of our Spain trip we took a day trip to the nearby city of Toledo and enjoyed the beautiful fortress walls, opulent cathedral, and peaceful monastery. The hilltop city had winding alleyways to wandered through. The kids loved the snacks, competing over stroller rides, and also loved the cathedral, especially because it had audio guides to explain the art and architecture. They especially loved watching Spanish cartoons after we got back that night.
