Camping

We went camping with Kristen and Renee for the 4th of July weekend. We were very lucky to have 4 adults to one rambunctious baby. Kristen and Renee got Sam to take his first steps! It was very momentous. We did have a few hiccups including not having all of the pieces for our propane stove, no can opener, and a screaming munchkin from 2-3:30 a.m. But these were all corrected with a run to Walmart and sleeping in the car.

Ryan, Renee and Kristen were supposed to go white water rafting at Royal George but the water level was too high. They did a different section that had 4+ rapids and they flipped TWICE! I stayed back with Sammers. I get to go next time.

Memorial Weekend

We love living near Kristen and Renee. We are also thrilled that snowboarding season is over so we can see them more often. We enjoyed Garden of the Gods, good food, arcades, graham cracker soda and hiking!

Winter Sports and a BEAR

Yesterday, for my birthday, I got to go skiing with my two great friends, Renee and Kristen. We went to Beaver Creek and had a blast. I haven't been skiing for about 7 years! It was so beautiful and exhilarating to be on the slopes. I felt like I was on top of the world, even though my legs were screaming otherwise. Thanks to Renee and Kristen for being patient with me. I rushed back and got to spend the evening with my boys. It was a perfect day.


Last weekend, we got to go snowshoeing. Thanks to Bran and Claire for loaning us their fancy snowshoes.

Two of our favorite things about living in Colorado

We are so blessed to move to a place where we already have best friends. Our friendship goes so far back. Renee basically set up Ryan and me and Kristen threw me a lingerie shower when we got engaged. The three of us used to rock climb in Malibu. Now we have all of Colorado at our finger tips. We love Renee and Kristen.
