That's exactly where I was on the study abroad 2 summers ago! Salvador is gorgeous, hot, and has great food. Oh, and I got mugged...but that's life. But I loved my ward! :)
Congratulations to McKay! Marty was real excited you are going to brazil, he served in san paulo in 60s. We got the latest, fodor's brazil travel guide , and read 30 pages all about salvador. Sounds great to be on the coast. Wendy loved being on coast in barcelona, spain for her mission. Being from the south, the temp. shouldn't be too bad.
Just as a side note Cheyn - you are like me, the only one that didn't go on a mission of your siblings. I still haven't figured out if I like that distiction or not (even my sister-in-law went on a mission, so I really am the ONLY one in my family).
I just now watched this and bawled my eyes out--I guess it just struck a chord of memories. How sweet to get that all on video, and have Brady and Brannigan be on the phone with you all. She's going to be a powerful misionario.
