Just 17 kilometers south of Brussels, Waterloo is where the historic battlefield of 1815 took place. Napoleon Bonaparte of France fought against troops from Prussia, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Hanover, Brunswick and Nassau. Before coming, we knew very little about this battle other than Napoleon was defeated. It was a great museum with an interactive 4D aspect (that the kids loved). Ryan quickly bought a book about Napoleon right when we got home.
