After a quick stop at the beach, we took the ferry from Rostock Germany to Gedser, Denmark. We arrived late but the sun didn't set until around 10 pm. We drove through pretty farmland and stayed at a cute cabin in the country.
The next morning we drove to to Fredericksborg Castle. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederiksborg_Castle) It was beautiful and we enjoyed walking around and getting views of the Castle from the garden. The kids have different reactions when we take all these pictures. Sam hates it and its hard to catch him looking at the camera (like his Dad). Luke tolerates pictures. Tessa requests to have pictures taken of her, poses, and asks to look at the pictures taken.
In the bottom of the Castle was a darling Childrens wing full of fun activities for our crew. The kids got to write with quill and ink. Tessa got to try on the dresses a little princess like her deserves. Cheyn had to tour the upper interior of the palace herself because the kids wouldn't leave their part of the castle. Cheyn loves Royals and European/Russian history so she was in her element. We need to learn more about Danish history.
As we drove to Copenhagen, we made stops and went on hike.
