Marbles with Gabe

Gabe and Sam are like peas and carrots.

We always have so much fun with Christy and Gabe. Gabe is so sweet with Sam and gives him hugs and points to his stinky toes. The other day we went to Marbles Museum. The last time I was at Marbles, I was going into labor with Sam and went into the hospital that night. It is fun to revisit it with little Sammers not kicking me from the inside.

Best Kindergarten Teacher EVER

Ryan visited our dear friend, Mrs Velasquez's, Kindergarten class last week to volunteer (year round school). They fibbed a little and said Ryan was a famous actor. Christy has trained her students so well. She has not only taught them reading, writing, and arithmetic but also advanced vocabulary including "economic downturn" and "glorious." After explaining that Ryan had a master's degree, she asked the kids what they thought of that. They all gave him a standing ovation. Here are a few of the drawings and writings of her class to thank Ryan for playing and reading with them.
"I liked when Ryan made us read the book and asked us questions. I like Ryan because he is" continued to say "jokes and playful and funny." The picture is of Ryan telling the class he couldn't read and the class laughing.

"I love when Ryan came to visit our class. Ryan is a actress. I love Ryan. He is the best and the world's best actress."

sixes

I am copying Renee. This is the 6th picture in the 6th folder from my picture file. This was at Christy's baby shower. Now she is the proud mother of an adorable 4 month old baby boy, Gabe. I get to babysit this little delicious munchkin on Saturday while his mom makes up a snow day at work. Hooray for me!

My first bike ride

I am no Tour de France biker. In fact, my bike has pretty much been on the back porch under a tarp for a whole year. Ryan got up early and took his new mountain bike out for a spin last Saturday. When I finally got up I felt that my bike had been neglected long enough. I thought it would be FUN to go to a "near by" lake. I would like to pretend that I didn't know that it was down a dangerous road with no bike lane and 10 miles away, but I knew and continued. It was freakin' hot and I was without water and cell phone and about to be run over by a semi any minute. Once I reached the point of no return, I kept biking to Christy's house in Creedmoor (over 20 miles away). Cute Christy thought that I was the neighborhood children she appropriately calls Children of the Corn banging on her door, so she refrained from opening it. Thank heavens she finally realized that it was just an idiot that over estimates her abilities and takes little regard for safety. Even though she is great with child, she helped me throw the bike in the back of the jeep, took me home, and jumped in the pool with me.

Dont worry I got chastized by Ryan upon my return. He told co-workers about my adventure and they thought he was talking about one of his patients.
