Jerusalem Day 2

Traditional area of the Garden of Gethsemane.  It is smaller than what I imagined and crowded but I did love the gnarly old olive trees.

We talked to the security guard there and he was a great guy, very funny. He said that the only folks who come besides people of our faith and folks who want to drink or do drugs. He also keeps a horse on the property to eat the weeds.

Great view of Dome of the Rock

Chapel on the traditional site of the Ascension

Stone that Christ ascended from. The exactness of a lot of sites and items is debatable.

The Lord's Prayer in many languages including Fijian

Jewish Cemetery

Gethsemane and Mt. of Olives

City of David

Hezekiahs Tunnel
Just outside of the Old City Walls, in the City of David is the 4000 year old aqueduct.
We walked with flashlights through cramped spaces.  At times, the water got up to our knees.  It was definitely a highlight.

We visited what is believed to be the room of the last supper

and David's tomb
