The Migdal Synagogue on the Sea of Galilea

Next stop, Migdal or Magdala, where Mary Magdalen was from. This is an excavated synagogue from Christ's time. Christ likely preached here, and there are biblical references to Christ and the Apostles coming here, including once after feeding the multitude. The city used to be an area for processing and pickling fish back then. (Matt 15: 39)

Copy of the Magdala Stone discovered in the past 10 years.
Worth a google. Original is in a museum in Jerusalem.

Ruins of the Jewish ritual bath area in Migdal.

Newly built Church, themed on key events in the ministry .
Taming the Tempest, healing the sick, etc.
Art work in the Church

I thought the sun coming in through the window was
symbolic amongst all of the beautiful artwork about Christ.

A shot of Galilee from the west central side
