This spot is very unlikely to be the actual spot where Christ was baptized as it is right under Galilee. Tradition says He was baptized was right above the dead sea.

A little bit down the river was a place to rent kayaks.  

This was one of my favorite things.  We almost had the whole river to 

ourselves except for some possibly homeless people staying in hammocks in the trees.
